At launch, the software invites you to create the first project, in a fairly simple to use interface. It consists of four tabs that bring together all the tools to manage your audio / video files, edit videos, add effects and edit audio files.
A toolbar provides access to a video or audio capture tool, import (windows, sound, and image) and export windows, or even the video editing tool. In short, using Lightworks requires a minimum of organization.
Lightworks supports most formats, including 3K and 4K resolutions. It can apply real-time effects with advanced multi-camera editing. It also supports multi-monitor output and can import a wide range of file formats such as AVCHD, H264, AVC-Intra, DNxHD, ProRes, H265 etc.
This software has been used in a number of well-known Hollywood film productions due to its wide range of pro-level features. Supports a wide range of containers, including MXF OP1a, MTS, M2v, MP4 etc.
You can download and install the free version for Windows, Linux and Mac, but although it is free to download, this program has a Pro version that includes additional features and allows more flexibility in exporting files.
